How to save our future generations

If you want to protect yourself from these toxic chemicals, here’s how to do it:

#1) Don’t put anything on your skin you wouldn’t eat! Avoid all mainstream consumer skin care, cosmetics and personal care products, period! Need soap? Try natural, organic brands like Dr Bronner’s, AnnMarie Gianni or Pangea Organics.

#2) Don’t eat foods made with chemicals you can’t pronounce. Read the ingredients labels. If the list of ingredients is too long and complex to figure out, it’s probably made more with chemicals than actual food.

#3) Don’t poison your body with over-the-counter drugs or prescription pharmaceuticals. If you do need to use medication for short-term emergency use, be sure to detoxify your liver afterwards.

#4) Detox your liver, kidneys and colon at least once a year. You can do this with a juice fast combined with detox supplements . (get professional guidance from a naturopath before fasting).

#5) Drink more water. Most people simply don’t consume enough water to effectively remove toxins from their bodies. If you don’t like water by itself, drink fresh vegetable juices such as celery or cucumber juice (which are actually structured water).

#6) Cleanse your body with parsley, alfalfa, red clover, chlorella or chlorophyll. All these substances can help cleanse your body and eliminate toxic substances that may be detrimental to your health.

#7) Don’t fill your home or apartment with products that off-gas toxic chemicals: Air fresheners, perfumed candles, particle board furniture, carpets, glues, etc.

#8) Don’t cook on non-stick cookware. These are the worst! Invest in quality copper-clad stainless steel pans and use those. They’ll last a lifetime and they don’t contaminate your body with chemicals. Don’t eat at restaurants that use non-stick cookware. (That’s just about every restaurant in the world, it seems…)

#9) Buy certified organic products. In the USA, the USDA Organic Seal is a trusted seal that genuinely indicates organic quality (both in foods and personal care products). Don’t be fooled by brand names that use the word “organics” in their name but aren’t really organic. Organic Consumers Association (http://www.organicconsumers.org/) can keep you posted on what’s what.

#10) Get the cancer out of your laundry! Stop washing your clothes in toxic brand-name laundry detergents, and stop using brand-name fabric softeners or dryer sheets. Do you have any idea what chemicals are used in those products? The truth would astonish you.

Be well

Fake green peas

Green peas are green rounded pea seeds that are sweet and starchy in taste. Green peas contains twice the protein of most vegetable, so they are a healthier substitute for meat. Three
quarters cup of peas provides 6 grams of protein, plus thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium and 645 units of vitamin A.

Unfortunately most of foo d industries in developing nations cheating the customers with fake greens peas which are prepared from toxic chemicals (dyes). These industries preparing the green peas form brown peas (cheaper) by soaking them in dye solution for overnight.

All these chemicals have been banned by US foo d and drug administration in 1974 itself. Frequent consumption of fake green peas leads to colon and bladder cancer.
All these fake green peas banned in US, Canada , all European countries and other developed countries.
Identification of fake green peas:
1. Put the peas in boil water for 30 seconds, water turns to green color.
2. After consumption check your tongue to observe green color stains and light bitter in taste.
Symptoms
1. Stomach irritation, pain or acidity.
2. Urine turns to light green color.
3. Mild head ache.
Case study:
I am a common person too and not aware of these things. After consumption of fake green peas I got stomach pain, with a little bit common sense I observed my tongue which having green stains.
The following packet bought from Tesco, penang (Malaysia) on 4 th July 2010.

As a responsible chemist I started analysis of above mentioned peas in laboratory I find the toxic chemicals (green dyes).

Kava kava

Kava root for stress and anxiety, side effects, safety, risks, toxicity and effect on liver
by Ray Sahelian, M.D.

Source: http://www.raysahelian.com/kava.html

Kava is the term used for both the plant and the beverage made from it. The beverage is prepared from the root of a shrub called the pepper plant, Piper methysticum, found in Polynesia, Melanesia, and Micronesia. The kava root is ground to a powder, and it has a brownish color. The brownish powder is then mixed with water and drank as a beverage, without being fermented. Extracts from the root are placed in capsules and sold as kava supplements.

Additional herbs and nutrients involved in relaxation, stress relief and anxiety reductions include Passion-Flower extract, tryptophan, 5-HTP, ashwagandha, lemon balm, theanine, and valerian. See the link at the top of this page for an index. I don’t recommend the use of kava in children or by teenagers. Kava should only be used by healthy adults, and only occasionally.

CAUTION: Kava is not the type of supplement, like vitamin C, that you take every day. At most use one kava capsule three times a week and take a full week off each month. In fact, it is preferable to use this herb no more than two times a week. Kava use on a daily basis may harm the liver in some individuals. In very rare cases, daily kava use can lead to severe liver harm that may result in total liver failure.

Some common feelings that most users report after taking kava either as a capsule or in liquid form:
-A state of relaxation, without feeling drugged
-Muscle tenseness is less
-Peacefulness and contentment
-More sociable, especially with the right company
-Mild euphoria, sometimes
-Mental alertness is often not effected, except on high doses
-Initial alertness followed by drowsiness which comes on after a few hours, so kava can be taken in the evening, a few hours before bedtime.

Kava kava is also available as a tea, root powder, coffee, and paste for topical use on mucous membranes. Kava powder can be mixed with other herbs used for anxiety or stress relief.

Kava side effects
Tiredness and decreased sex drive or sensation are some kava side effects that have been reported with frequent use. In the Pacific islands, daily consumption of kava kava liquid for several years or decades leads to a skin condition. A kava kava side effect from daily use is lowered sex drive. If you have a lowered libido from kava use, or for other reasons, consider Passion Rx.

WHAT IS KAVA-KAVA?
Source : http://www.vanderbilt.edu/AnS/psychology/health_psychology/kava.htm

Originating from the South Pacific as a favorite drink of the Pacific Islanders, the plant known as Kava-Kava (Pipper Methysticum Forster) is a member of the pepper family. The brownish root of the plant, known as Waka, is sun-dried, ground into powder, and mixed with water to create the therapeutic drink known by the name of the plant, Kava Kava.

In the United States, Kava-Kava, also known as awa and yaquona, has been used for thousands of years by Pacific Islanders as a ceremonial drink, social beverage, and therapeutic elixir for relaxation and anti-anxiety.

In Germany, kava kava is commonly used to reduce anxiety.

Kava kava has also effective to soothe muscle tension as in PMS. Topically, kava kava has a alagesic effect.
